1. Who is responsible for your information?
Glasgow Garage Project is the data controller for personal information collected through this website.
Glasgow Garage Projectc/o 39 St Vincent Place
Glasgow G1 2ER
You can contact us about your information by writing to the address above or by using the project enquiry form and stating “privacy request” in the additional information box.
2. What we collect
When you submit an enquiry, we collect your name, email address, telephone number, property postcode, information about the garage and proposed conversion, timing, budget and anything else you include in your message.
Our hosting and security providers may also process technical information such as your IP address, browser information, request time and security-check result. Please avoid including unnecessary sensitive information in the form.
3. How and why we use it
We use your information to:
- review and respond to your enquiry;
- assess whether the proposed project appears suitable for an introduction;
- contact you about the project;
- share relevant details with suitable independent specialists where you have agreed;
- protect the form and website from spam, fraud and misuse; and
- keep appropriate administrative records and deal with complaints or legal claims.
We rely on our legitimate interests in operating and protecting the enquiry service when we review and respond to enquiries. We rely on your consent when sharing an enquiry with an independent specialist. You may withdraw that consent before an introduction is made by contacting us.
4. Who receives it
Information may be handled by service providers that support the website, security and email delivery, including Cloudflare and Google. Where relevant and agreed, we may also disclose the project information and your contact details to one or more independent garage-conversion specialists so that they can assess or respond to the opportunity.
Any specialist that receives your details is responsible for its own use of them. We may also disclose information where required by law or reasonably necessary to protect legal rights.
5. International processing
Some technology providers may process information outside the UK. Where that happens, we expect the provider to use an approved legal mechanism or other safeguards required by UK data-protection law.
6. How long we keep it
We normally retain an enquiry for up to 12 months after the last meaningful contact. We may keep limited information for longer where reasonably necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims, meet a legal obligation or record that you asked us not to contact you.
7. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction or transfer, or object to particular uses. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.
If you are unhappy with how we use your information, please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
8. Security technology and cookies
The enquiry form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to distinguish genuine visitors from automated abuse. Cloudflare may place or read strictly necessary cookies or similar browser data for this security purpose. We do not currently use advertising cookies or behavioural marketing trackers.
9. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice when the service, suppliers or legal requirements change. The latest version will always appear on this page with its revision date.
